First, Luigi is among the organizer of the Data4Good workshop. The workshop received 12 interesting submissions, which you can read on the workshop website. The workshop is online-only, in the afternoon of September 28. A description of and the motivation about the workshop can be find in this paper.

Second, Luigi is also presenting a paper about End-User Development and Smart Speakers at the EMPATHY workshop, on September 29. More info on this paper, below. Luigi will be the session chair for the Visualization II session, on September 29 at 3 PM CEST.

Finally, Alberto will present a paper on the usage of a virtual assistant for End-User Development entitled "HeyTAP: Bridging the Gaps Between Users' Needs and Technology in IF-THEN Rules via Conversation" on Friday, October 2 during the "Interfaces for Recommender Systems" session (10:30-12:00, Sala Azzurra). The paper introduces "HeyTAP", a tool for allowing user to select If-THEN rules according to their own needs and high-level goals.
