Participation at ACM/SIGAPP SAC 2026
We are pleased to announce that the e-Lite group will attend the 41st ACM/SIGAPP Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC '26), held from March 23–27, 2026, in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Rob Schwartz will present the paper titled "Intervention Design at the Intersection of Accessibility and Digital Wellbeing," a work that explores how interventions for digital wellbeing can be designed to support both individuals with cognitive/learning disabilities and those seeking better digital self-control.

While web browser extensions are commonly used to support accessibility and digital self-control, the overlap between these two fields has rarely been discussed. This research bridges that gap by integrating WCAG 3.0 guidelines with digital wellbeing design aspects.
As part of this study, we designed 10 novel web browser interventions. These interventions were prototyped in a new browser extension called "FriendlyLens". The interventions are classified based on how they interact with web content—whether they add features (additive), remove distractions (subtractive), or completely redesign the interface.
By grounding these designs in the upcoming WCAG 3.0 standard, this research opens new pathways for creating adaptive interfaces that adjust to a user's specific cognitive and perceptual context. This approach ensures that the web remains a productive and inclusive space for a wider range of users.
