The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds the most discoveries, is not "Eureka!" but "That's funny!" (Isaac Asimov)
Ph.D. Student, Member of e-Lite group.
Luigi De Russis is a second year Ph.D. student in the e-Lite research group at the Department of Computer Science and Automation of Politecnico di Torino, advised by Fulvio Corno. He received his M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2010.
His current research focuses on Human Computer Interaction, with a particular interest on (novel) interaction techniques applied to Smart Environments.

DOG
Dog
is a Domotic OSGi Gateway, i.e., a software-based
gateway used for controlling domotic environments in a
vendor-independent way, thanks to its high-level semantic device
modeling strategy and its driver architecture that allows to
support different domotic plant technologies.
DOGeye
DOGeye
is a multimodal eye-based application, realized in C# with the
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), that may enable people with
motor disabilities to control and manage their homes, thus living
as autonomously as possible. It tackles the specific requirements
of smart environments, outlined in a public Recommendation issued
by the COGAIN European Network
of Excellence, and exploits the opportunities offered by different
eye-tracking systems by using the universal ETU-Driver.
